THORNHEDGE

 This review will be about ThornHedge by T. Kingfisher. This book is a standalone, I'm pretty sure anyway, a romance, fantasy, fairy-tale type of book. The publication date is August 15, 2023.

A little about the book;

There's a princess locked away in a tower but this isn't your average fairy-tale, this story isn't about her.

On the day of Toadlings birth, she was stolen from her human family by fairies, growing older, she was safe and loved in the warm waters of faerieland. Once she becomes an adult though, the fae asks a favor of her, return to the human word and offer a blessing of protection to a newborn child. Simple enough right?

But when the fairies are concerned, nothing is ever simple.

Eons later, a knight finds a towering wall of brambles, where there are thorns as thick as an arm and as sharp as a sword. He has heard there's a curse that needs breaking, but it's a curse toadling will do anything to uphold.

Review Time!

As soon as I got the book and held it in my hands, I said to myself, "This can't be good, it's so thin! Literally only a few pages!" Boy was I wrong, it may be thin but the storytelling was phenomenal, the plot was amazing, and there is a slight romance, not a whole lot though. The book is mainly focused on Toadling and the curse, how she got in that position and what she has to do to finally end it. It may be a thin book but it was still a perfect read. I'm over here trying to see if there will be a next one but I'm not sure how Kingfisher would continue it as it had a really good ending.

Short review today but I honestly enjoyed this book and can't think of a negative thing about it.
