About The Book:

“It could be fate or a bitter witch. Either way, someone is against them.

Alisa Roberts went to Manhattan expecting to meet the father she never knew. Finding her mate, though, that was one hell of an inconvenience. Especially when their bond cemented her curse. Destroying the witches responsible is the only way to end their spell.

When Declan Quinn answered the call of a golden dragon shifter, he rutted his way into a disaster. His new mate had a vendetta against witches. Unfortunately, his best friend happened to be quite magical.

When her fire and his ice clashed, they realize fate has a cynical sense of humor. Can the sins of the mother ever wash away? Or will Alisa and Declan pay the ultimate price?”

Review:

First, I would like to thank Victoria for reaching out and sending me an arc for book one and two of this series. All advanced reader’s copies that I receive, I will always give my 100% honest review.

In my review for book one “Giving The Dragon Fire”, I mentioned; “I would love to see who will be the main characters in the second book, possibly Felicity, Ella’s friend? Or perhaps Gideon’s friend Declan? I can’t believe I was right about who would be the next MMC in the second book!

I absolutely LOVED that there was more information on the dragon shifters compared to the first. I remember that being one of the things I was disappointed in in the first book, so I’m very happy that I was able to learn more about them. There was even a lot of information on the witches as well, which I think added more to the story and it didn’t seem so fast paced anymore.

This is a romantasy so there are a few spicy scenes throughout the book, so if you don’t like those, you can always skip over. There is drama, suspense, curses, and some fight scenes.

Characters:

The main characters in this book are Alisa Roberts and Declan Quinn. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t particularly like the characters too much. While reading in their P.O.V.’s, it was very hard for me to connect with them as their personalities seemed to change halfway through the book.

I recommend this book if you enjoy fast paced romantasy with dragon shifters, it was a unique and fun read for me.
